Johanna Gullichsen founded her company in 1989. Initially, she designed and produced fabrics by hand, weaving on looms. Within a few years, the production of fabrics was transferred to industry, but weaving and making by hand have always remained part of Johanna’s design process. The design is based on quality and making long-lasting products. Production is almost entirely in Finland, from dyeing the yarn, to weaving the fabric and sewing the products. The collection is based on upholstery and interior fabrics. The fabrics are also used to make a wide range of finished products such as bags and cushions. Bath textiles, filters and rugs complete the range.
Johanna Gullichsen’s products are sold in its own stores, online and through retailers both in Finland and internationally. The flagship store and office are located at Erottajankatu 1-3. The Erottaja store displays the entire collection from fabrics, to carpets and small products. The Lasipalatsi store has a wide range of ready-to-wear products, as well as a few specialties designed especially for the Lasipalatsi store.
